Dunaivtsi (urban-type settlement)

Dunajiwzi (Ukrainian Дунаївці; Russian Дунаевцы / Dunajewzy ) is an urban-type settlement about 22 km north of the capital of the eponymous Rajons in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast of Ukraine with 2755 inhabitants ( 2001). In the settlement is the Dunajiwzi station on the railway line today Kelmenzi -Khmelnytskyi. The village was founded in 1914 after the construction of the station for further south, the same Dunajiwzi and developed by its position on the railway line quickly into a larger settlement.
