Geography

Geographical location

Endschütz is located southeast of Wünschendorf / Elster and east of the White Elster on a plateau. Through the district flows the fox creek and in the village there is a village pond. The municipality is counted to the natural space Ostthüringer Schiefergebirge - Vogtland region in the northeast of the Saale- sandstone slab in the southwest to the natural spatial structure of the state of Thuringia. The nearest towns are Berga / Elster ( 3 km south ), Weida (4 miles west), Ronneburg (6 km north-east ) and Gera ( city center 7 km to the northwest ).

Neighboring communities

Adjacent communities include the city of Berga / Elster, Linda b. Weida and Wünschendorf / Elster and the independent city of Gera. Gera is bordered only indirectly with the district Falka.

The municipality belongs to the district Endschütz Letzendorf and the small settlement round.

History

The documentary was first mentioned took place for Endschütz 1445.

Endschütz 1568 was affected by witch hunts. The man nickel Traute got into a witch trial. He was torn with red-hot pincers, whacked, then burned.

In Endschütz was after 1945 Landesgut, later an operating part of the VEG Meilitz. The farmers also went the way of the East German agriculture.

After the local elections of 27 June 2004, the council was made up as follows:

  • Volunteer Fire Endschütz ( FFWE ) - 2 seats ( 24.8%)
  • Free Wählergemeinschaft Endschütz ( FWGE ) - 1 seat ( 19.1%)
  • Volunteer Fire Letzendorf ( FFWL ) - 1 seat ( 11.0%)
  • Sports Community Endschütz eV ( SGEeV ) - 1 seat ( 22.7%)
  • Evangelina -. Luth. Parish Endschütz ( ELKGE ) - 1 seat ( 22.4%)

The turnout was 67.2 %.

Since the local elections of 27 June 2009, a turnout of 62.1 %, the volunteer fire department Letzendorf is no longer represented, but instead received the ELKGE two seats.

Mayor

In the mayoral election on 13 June 1999 Sylvio Nitschke received with 82.2 % majority of the votes. The re-elected in 2004 ( 89.5 %) and 2010 ( 74.3 %).

Traffic

The village is connected Endschütz of the county road K 117 transport-wise on the surrounding area. A local road Letzendorf binds to the K 117 and Wolfersdorf. On working days except Saturdays the bus line 219 Gera - Wünschendorf Linda Wolfersdorf RVG Regional traffic Gera / country runs on Endschütz, year and Letzendorf. From 1876 until May 29, 1999, the municipality had connection to the railway line from Wünschendorf to Werdau. On 30 May 1999, the passenger has been set. Since then, the nearest railway station is in Wünschendorf five kilometers away.
