Episcopal Church in the Philippines

The Episcopal Church of the Philippines (English Episcopal Church in the Philippines ) is a member church of the Anglican Communion in the Philippines and has its origin in the colonization of the largely Catholic country by the Americans in 1898. Like other Anglican churches also stands them in community with the Union of Utrecht of the Old Catholic churches.

Already equipped since 1963 with local bishops, the Episcopal Church was established in 1990 to an autonomous province with today six dioceses ( Central Philippines, North Central Philippines, Northern Luzon, Northern Philippines, Santiago and Southern Philippines), headed as Primate of the Prime Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines (first bishop of the Episcopal Church of the Philippines ) is, which is not a separate diocese.
