Figure skating at the 1960 Winter Olympics

In the VIII Olympic Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley three competitions were held in figure skating. Venue was the Blyth Memorial Arena, which offered 9,000 spectators.

David Jenkins was after the vorangeganegen Olympics, where he won the bronze medal in the footsteps of his brother, the reigning Olympic champion Hayes Alan Jenkins, entered and remained unbeaten. It was his role as favorite, and loosened his brother as Olympic champion from a one-time process in the figure skating history. The Czechoslovak Karol Divín, who won the obligation, the freestyle but he finished only sixth, won the silver medal. The bronze went to Canadian Donald Jackson. Alain Giletti missed a medal extremely scarce and was four years ago fourth.
