Competition

The first day of ski flying World Championships was the jumpers as pure training day. The Competition Rules saw a total of four passes in two days ago, but as is so often the wind came in between and in the first World Cup. The first two passages on Saturday could still be carried out. Sunday was canceled due to high winds, so the result counted from the day before. The best on Saturday was well ahead of the Swiss Walter Steiner. In the first round he came to 155 meters and landed well ahead of the runner- Heinz Wosipiwo (146 meters). At the present time on bronze Jiří Raška course was from Czechoslovakia. In the second pass, the projection was even greater to its competition. For 158 meters he got with 215.5 points, the highest score of the day. Wosipiwo could, as in the first passage, jump the second- longest jump and secured silver. The bronze medal went to Jiri Raska who successfully asserted itself with a jump on 130 meters against the Finns Juhani Ruotsalainen.
