George Seaton

George Seaton; born George Stenius ( born April 17, 1911 in South Bend, Indiana; † July 28, 1979 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California ) was an American screenwriter, film director and film producer.

Life

George Seaton began a career as a radio announcer in Detroit, Michigan.

Seaton 1954 was nominated in the category Best Director for the film The Country Girl and in 1961 awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

George Seaton died on July 28, 1979 in Beverly Hills from cancer.
