Gunbower-Nationalpark

The Gunbower National Park is a national park in the north of the Australian state of Victoria, about 250 km north of Melbourne and 59 km north-west of Echuca. It is located on Gunbower Iceland, an island between two branches of the Murray River opposite the Riverina region on the north bank of the river.

In 2010 built park wetlands are protected under the Ramsar Convention, provide habitat for migratory birds.

Flora

The park consists mostly wet eucalypt forests, in humid northeast of the River Red Gum species in arid south-west of the species box.

Fauna

In addition to kangaroos and emus, there are also endangered species, such as gliders ( Squirrel Glider ) or carpet pythons.
