Hamish Carter

Hamish Carter, ONZM ( born April 28, 1971 in Auckland ) is a former New Zealand triathlete.

Career

His first triathlon ended Hamish Carter in 1991 in Whangamata in the top ten.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens he won the gold medal in a time of 1:51:07,73. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games he won the bronze medal. In addition, he was able to record a total of twelve World Cup victories for itself.

In 2006 he was in Hawaii as part of the Xterra World Series also Cross Triathlon World Champion (1.5 km swim, 32 km mountain bike and 12 km cross-country running ).

On 6 March 2007 he gave after 14 years of the end of his career known. He explained his motivation problems.

Today he lives with his wife, Marisa, also a former triathlete (as Marisa Pentecost) and her two children Austin and Phoebe in Mt Eden, Auckland.
