Eneko Llanos

Eneko Llanos Burguera ( born November 30, 1976 in Vitoria- Gasteiz ) is a Basque triathlete, multiple Ironman champion (2007, 2010, 2011, 2013), Long Distance World Champion (2003) and European champion (2010) and reigning Ironman European Champion ( 2013).

Career

Eneko Llanos was in the years 2000 and 2004. At the Olympics in triathlon for Spain at the start

In 2003 he became Triathlon World Champion on the long distance at the ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships (4 km swimming, 130 km cycling and 30 km running). In May 2007, Eneko Llanos won the Ironman Lanzarote and he could repeat this success in 2010.

In June 2010 he became European Champion on the long distance in his home town of Vitoria- Gasteiz.

At Ironman Arizona in November 2011 he reached after the Swiss Ronnie Schildknecht as the second athlete an Ironman time less than eight hours at a race in North America. In July 2012, he was in Spain Vice World Champion on the long distance triathlon.

Even his four- year older brother Hektor Llanos is a professional triathlete.
