Rob Barel

Robert ( " Rob" ) Alexander Barel ( born December 23, 1957 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch triathlete, World Champion (1994 ) Multiple Triathlon European Championships (1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1994, 2008) and several runners-up (1985, 1987, 1993, 1997 and 1998).

Career

He started 13 times at Ironman Nice, and in 2000 he took with him 42 years at the Sydney Olympics in triathlon part. Then he officially ended his active career and launched only sporadically. In 2008, he surprised with the victory of the European Championships in cross triathlon.
