Spencer Smith (triathlete)

Spencer Smith (born 1973 ) is a British triathlete, triathlon world champion ( 1992, 1993, 1994) and two-time Ironman champion (2001, 2002).

Career

He was three times world champion in the sprint triathlon (1992 as a junior, in 1993 and 1994) and he became European Champion in 1992 and 1997. In 1998, he came under suspicion of doping and these allegations were repealed only 17 months later in 1999.

Spencer Smith is two time Ironman winner and now lives with his wife in the Palm Harbor, Florida. He was trained by Paul Huddle. His nickname is Horse Power.
