Jeff Halpern

Jeffrey Halpern ( May 3, 1976 in Potomac, Maryland ) is an American professional ice hockey player who plays for the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League since October 2013.

Career

After graduating from Princeton University, Halpern began his career with the Washington Capitals in the 1999/2000 season after he was ungedraftet committed as a free agent and could deny equal to 79 of the 82 games. Prior to the 2005/06 season - the first season after the NHL lockout - he was appointed by the Capitals for team captain.

In the summer of 2006, he finally joined as a free agent by Washington to the Dallas Stars and signed a four-year contract and was indirectly related to the obligation of Eric Lindros as a substitute for the migrated Jason Arnott. For the Trade Deadline 2007/08 season he was transferred together with Jussi Jokinen and Mike Smith of Dallas at the Tampa Bay Lightning. In return, Brad Richards and Johan Holmqvist came to Texas.

On 3 March 2010 he was discharged Deadline for Teddy Purcell and a third-round choice right at the Los Angeles Kings in the trade. In September 2010, Halpern signed with the Montreal Canadiens. On July 1, 2011, he reached an agreement with the Washington Capitals to a contract for one year. After this year, Halpern was again available as a free agent and was in July 2012, again under a year, of the New York Rangers. In New York, he completed 30 games before he was put on the waiver to be transferred to the AHL farm team of the Rangers. Halpern's previous employer, the Canadiens, took the opportunity in March 2013 and provided him again with a contract until the end of the 2012/13 season.

In September 2013, the Finnish club Turun Halpern then Palloseura joined, but graduated from a competitive match since the contract a return to the NHL allowed, which was made possible as a result of a one-year contract with the Phoenix Coyotes.
