Jeff Petry

Jeffrey Petry ( born December 9, 1987 in Ann Arbor, Michigan ) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since 2010 with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League under contract and in parallel for their farm team, the Oklahoma City Barons in the American Hockey League. His father Dan Petry was a professional baseball player and spent 13 years in Major League Baseball active.

Career

Jeff Petry began his career as a hockey player with the Des Moines Buccaneers, where he was active from 2005 to 2007 in the Junior League United States Hockey League. In 2006 he won with his team the Clark Cup. He has also won several awards and was voted the best defender and into the All-Star team of the USHL in 2007.
