Jordin Sparks
Jordin Brianna Sparks ( born December 22, 1989 in Phoenix, Arizona ) is an American singer. In 2007 she won the sixth season of American Idol. After Kelly Clarkson is the most successful winners. At the moment she is with singer Jason Derulo.

Life
Sparks, was born on 22 December 1989 in Phoenix (Arizona ) as the only daughter of the German -born Jodi Wiedmann and Phillippi Sparks, a former football player who played in the NFL for the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys. She has a younger brother - PJ ( Phillippi Sparks junior). Her mother is German and her father African American.
She sang at the Super Bowl XLII and the NBA All- Star Game 2009, the American national anthem.
The first single from Sparks in the U.S. was This Is My Now. You could reach 15th place there. With their first single global Sparks Tattoo reached No. 8 on the U.S. charts and the top 40 in other countries. Even more successful was the second single No Air, along with Chris Brown, who made it to third place. 2008, the two sang the hit with the top 8 show of American Idol. She received after the performance platinum records for her songs Tattoo and No Air One Step At The Time was the fourth single. Their debut album, Jordin Sparks was also awarded a platinum record ( about 1 million sales).
The single No Air was also very successful internationally, especially in English speaking countries. In the UK it reached number three in Australia and New Zealand they came up at number one.
In 2009 they had their second album Battlefield. Previously, the same single was released and was able to reach place and ten other top 40 rankings in the United States. In contrast to the single the album was a flop. To date, only 600,000 copies were sold. The second single SOS ( Let The Music Play ) could reach number 13 in the UK. In January 2010 was released as the third single Do not Let It Go To Your Head, but could not place in the charts themselves.
2010 Sparks took over for a few weeks the role of " Nina " in the Broadway musical In the Heights. In a guest role in the band and its eponymous series Big Time Rush, she played herself she produced with them eSong Count On You. 2012 Sparks turned the movie Sparkle with Whitney Houston. Go to film a soundtrack was released, which included new songs by Sparks.
At the moment she is in the studio again and takes her third album.

On 23 May 2007 Sparks won the sixth season of the talent show American Idol. In the final she beat out Blake Lewis.
