Kali (singer)

Kali ( born February 21, 1956 in Fort-de -France as Jean -Marc Monnerville ) is a French singer and banjo player from Martinique.

He represented France in the Euro Vision Song Contest 1992 in Malmö, Sweden with his Zouk song Monté la Rivié (German: go up the river ) and reached the Eighth of 22 seats with 73 points.

He released several more albums with Caribbean music with often socially critical lyrics in Creole language.
