Keetie van Oosten-Hage

Cornelia " Keetie " van Oosten - Hage ( born August 21, 1949 in Sint Maartensdijk ) is a former Dutch cyclist and six time world champion.

Keetie van Oosten - Hage was active from 1966 to 1979 in the elite cycling and to rail and road equally successful. Your first title she won in 1966, when she was Dutch champion in the individual pursuit on the track. In the same year she was at the UCI Road World Championships World runner-up at the Nurburgring behind the Belgian Yvonne Reynders. Overall, Van Oosten - Hage 20 times Dutch champion on road and track, including twelve titles in the individual pursuit in a row.

1968 in Imola and 1975 in Yvoir was Keetie van Oosten - Hage World Champion in the road race; 1975 in Rocourt, 1976 in Monteroni di Lecce, in Munich in 1978 and 1979 in Amsterdam she became world champion in the individual pursuit on the track. On September 16, 1978, she improved the hour record at 43.082 km and set new records for 5, 10 and 20 km on. However, they never took part in the Olympic Games.

Three times in 1976, 1977 and 1978 was Keetie van Oosten - Hage Sportswoman of the Year in the Netherlands. Even her sisters Bella van der Spiegel Hage and Hage Heleen were successful racing drivers; her nephew Jan van Velzen was from 2000 to 2004 as a professional racing driver active. The trophy, which is awarded annually in the Netherlands to the " cyclist of the year", is named after her.

From 1985 to Keetie van Oosten - Hage worked as coordinator of the Dutch Cycling Federation; later she worked as a teacher. Today she lives in Kloetinge to Goes.
