Kunreuth

Kunreuth is a municipality in the district of Forchheim ( district government of Upper Franconia ) and a member of the administrative community Gosberg based in Pinzberg. In the village are the church and the castle Kunreuth.

In Regenberg the castle ruins rain Berg is with the castle chapel.

History

Documented Kunreuth was first mentioned in 1109 as Chunesrut the founding book of Collegiat - monastery of St. Jacob at Bamberg. The Castle of Regenberg be traced back to 1251 as a fief of the Bishopric of Bamberg.

Originally built in the 14th century moated castle of the lords of Egloffstein since 1412 was also a fief of the Bishopric of Bamberg.

1426 was the construction of the church. In the Second Margrave War in 1553 the place, the castle and the church were destroyed by Albrecht Alcibiades. 1560 Kunreuth became Protestant after the Lords of Egloffstein had used an evangelical pastor.

In 1700 Kunreuth exempt from Bamberger rule, the castle became the seat Kunreuth in the Registry of the Canton Gebürg the imperial knights in Franconia. 1805 Kunreuth fell to the Kingdom of Bavaria, to 1845 still existed a patrimonial of the Barons and Counts of Egloffstein.

On January 3, 1952, the name of the village was changed to Cunreuth Kunreuth.

Incorporations

On 1 July 1971, until then independent municipality Ermreus was incorporated. On May 1, 1978, added Weingarts.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms description reads: Among black and gold split battlements main shield, divided by silver and black, front left one inverted, red bezungter, black bears hull, behind a golden boar spear.

Policy

The local council of Kunreuth has 13 members including the mayor.

Helmut Ulm (democracy / SPD) was confirmed in the mayoral election on 3 March 2002, 84.0 % of the vote in office. As the successor to his son Hermann was elected Ulm (democracy / SPD) with 65.11 % of votes in the election on March 2, 2008. His challenger Helmut Rahner ( CSU / Biirgerblock ) came to 34.89 % of the valid votes.
