Kleinsendelbach is a municipality in the district of Forchheim ( district government of Upper Franconia ) and a member of the administrative community Dormitz.

Geography

Geographical location

The community is located about 15 kilometers east of Erlangen and about 15 kilometers north of Nuremberg in the Valley of Schwabach. It is the southernmost village in Upper Franconia.

History

The districts were first documented in 1062. Kleinsendelbach in present-day administrative region of Upper Franconia belonged to the Bishopric of Bamberg, which was in the Frankish Empire Circle from 1500. With the Imperial Diet of 1803 the city became part of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community. 1982 Kleinsendelbach was awarded as the most beautiful village of the district of Forchheim.

Traffic History

Kleinsendelbach used to have a station of Erlangen- Eschenau -Bahn, which is, however, closed down.

The coat of arms description reads: " About shortened, five of red and silver diagonally split tip split of blue and gold, a front left inverted silver wolf's head, behind a langued black lion's head, which is covered with a silver slant bar. "

Leisure and sports facilities

  • Two sports fields
  • Just west of the municipality located in the direction Dormitz lakes whose shores area mostly conservation zone ( breeding birds, rare plants ). An information board is located, Coming of Kleinsendelbach, at the fork. On the shore is partly a way. The western lake, is, used particularly in high summer as the lake and is usually very busy on weekends.
