Wiesenttal is a market in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim and located in the center of the Franconian Switzerland.

History
The Wiesenttal in present-day administrative region of Upper Franconia part of the 1792 acquired by Prussia Principality of Bayreuth. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria.
