Lumière and Company

Lumière et compagnie is the title of an international film project from the year 1995. Occasion of the 100th anniversary of the invention of the cinematograph by the Lumière brothers turned 41 directors short films that they transpose with the original camera from the 19th century. The idea for this tribute came from Philippe Poulet, a researcher at the Cinema Museum of Lyon.
The films were not allowed to be longer than 52 seconds. In addition, they had no cuts be realized without artificial light and without resynchronised tone.
