Matt Greene

Matthew Greene ( born May 13, 1983 in Grand Ledge, Michigan ) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since 2008 with the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Matt Greene began his career as a hockey player in the United States Hockey League, where he was active from 2000 to 2002 depending on a season long for the U.S. National Team Development Program and the Green Bay Gamblers. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the second round than a total of 44 players from the Edmonton Oilers. First, however, the defender played for three years for the University of North Dakota in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, before he made his debut for Edmonton in the National Hockey League in the 2005/06 season his debut.

On 29 June 2008, the American was released after three years with the Oilers from these along with Jarret Stoll in exchange for Lubomir Višňovský to the Los Angeles Kings. For this he was in the 2008/ 09 season in all 82 games of the regular season was on the ice and reached 14 points scorer.

Internationally

For the U.S., Greene participated in the Under-18 World Youth Championship in 2001, as well as the U20 Junior World Championship 2003 part. In addition, he was in the squad of the U.S. at the World Championships in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
