Justin Williams

Justin Williams ( born October 4, 1981 in Cobourg, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League.

Career

Williams began his career in the Ontario Hockey League with the Plymouth Whalers and was finally selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 as 28th in the first round by the Philadelphia Flyers ( drafted ).

The striker was in four seasons with the Flyers on the ice and was thrown back into this time and time again by injuries, including a broken hand in his rookie season of 2000 / 01, as well as problems with the game systems to the changing coaches.

In a barter the right shooter finally changed in January 2004 for the defender Danny Markov to Carolina, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in the 2005/06 season. July 1st, 2006 Williams signed a five-year contract with the Hurricanes, the contract is valued at 3.5 million U.S. dollars per season. 2007 was also Williams for the first time in his career in the NHL All-Star Game.

During the 2004/ 05 lockout season Justin Williams played for the Swedish first division club Luleå HF.

2004 and 2007 he won the Hockey World Cup with the Canadian national team.
