Maximilian Hofmann

Maximilian Hofmann ( born August 7, 1993, Vienna) is an Austrian football player. He plays the position of center-back in the Austrian Bundesliga SK Rapid Wien.

Sports career

Hofmann began his career at SV Wiener Berg, before joining SK Rapid Wien in 2003. There he went through some youth teams until he was brought to the second team in 2011.

His debut for the second team in the Regionalliga Ost, the third highest Austrian league, gave the center-back 7 October 2011 against SC Ritzing when he played through and saw the yellow card for a foul. The game was won 5-0. After another good season in the amateurs Hofmann was appointed in 2013 to the squad for the Bundesliga team.

Under coach Zoran Barisic he came on 26 May 2013 his debut in the highest Austrian league when he came on in injury time for Stefan Kulovits. The last championship game could decide the Green-Whites 3-0 for itself.
