Mšené-lázně

Mšené - Lázně ( German Mscheno ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eleven kilometers southwest from Roudnice and belongs to Okres Litoměřice.

Geography

The village is located on the Bohemian panel in the valley of the creek Mšenský. Through the village leads the state road 118 between Slany and Budyně nad Ohri

Neighboring towns are Roudníček and Budyně nad Ohri in the north, and Pohořice Martiněves in the northeast, Charvatce in the east, Radešín, Vrbice and Loucká in the south, Podolí Ředhošť the southwest, Podbradec in the west and Brníkov and Kostelec nad Ohri in the northwest.

History

Mšené was first documented along with Podolí in 1262nd owner was at this time Puta called Petřík of giant mountain. His descendants, the z Mšeneho called themselves, held the place until 1362.
