Mueang Phichit District

Amphoe Mueang Phichit ( in Thai: อำเภอ เมือง พิจิตร ) is the administrative district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the provincial capital of the province of Phichit in the northern region of Thailand. Phichit is also a city ( Mueang thesaban ) in the province of Phichit.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Sak Lek, the Wang Sai Phun, Taphan Hin, Pho Prathap Chang and Sam Ngam in the province of Phichit and Amphoe Bang Krathum of Phitsanulok Province.

Management

The circle is divided into 16 subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 134 villages ( Muban ).

Phichit ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง พิจิตร ) is a city ( Mueang thesaban ) in the district, it consists of the whole tambon Nai Mueang.

Furthermore, there are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Tha Lo ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า ฬ่ อ ) consists of parts of the tambon Tha Lo,
  • Hua Dong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หัว ดง ) consists of parts of tambon Hua Dong,
  • Wang Krot ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วัง กรด ) consists of parts of tambon Ban Bung
  • Dong Pa Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดง ป่า คำ ) consists of the whole Tambon Dong Pa Kham.

There are also 14 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
