Geography
Geographical Location
Nahrendorf is located in the Natural Park of the Elbe Valley. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Dahl castle, which has its administrative headquarters in the spots Dahl castle.

History
Incorporations
On March 1, 1974, the municipalities Kovahl, Mücklingen, Oldendorf were incorporated at the Goehrde and Pommoissel.

The municipality belongs to the Nahrendorf Parliament Constituency 48 Elbe and the Bundestag constituency 38 Lüchow -Dannenberg - Lüneburg.
Mayor
The honorary mayor Uwe Meyer was elected on 9 September 2001.
Attractions
The lying in the center of St. Lamberti Church can already be found in documents of the monastery of St. Michael in Lüneburg from 1271 again. End of the 18th century had the house of God, drawn by various storm damage affected, to be completely replaced. At the beginning of the 1960s, the building was again renovated large area. Rail transport in the district Nahrendorfer Breese on Seißelberge is the Goehrde station of Wendland path that leads from Luneberg according to Dannenberg. He is the last stop of the HVV Tariff heading east. The name of the station refers to the state forest Goehrde and once served as Wilhelmine Kaiserbahnhof for the Prussian state hunts.
