Nate Guenin

Nathaniel Lawrence " Nate " Guenin ( born December 10, 1982 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 when the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Nate Guenin was initially active for the Pittsburgh Hornets before the defender of 2000 aground until 2002 for the Green Bay Gamblers in the Junior League United States Hockey League, where he was elected to the 2000 /01 season to the All- Rookie team in the league. He was then in the fourth round as a total of 127 players selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 by the New York Rangers, for whom he never played, however. Instead, the defender attended for four years, the Ohio State University and played in parallel for their hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. He was chosen in the second All- Star team the Central Collegiate Hockey Association in 2005.

August 16, 2006 Guenin signed a contract as a free agent with the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Phantoms for their farm team, he regularly in the American Hockey League was in the following three seasons on the ice. He also came in this period to a total of twelve appearances for the Flyers even in the National Hockey League. In July 2009, he was committed as a free agent by the Pittsburgh Penguins, for which he subsequently but only two NHL games played, while he spent the rest of the time with their AHL farm team Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. On 11 February 2010 he was discharged to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Steve Wagner, played until the end of the 2009/10 season, however, exclusively for their AHL farm team Peoria Rivermen.

The 2010/11 season began Guenin at the Springfield Falcons in the AHL and also came in parallel with three inserts for their cooperation partners Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL. Since January 2011 he is with the Anaheim Ducks of the NHL under contract for their AHL farm team Syracuse Crunch as he was a regular player until the end of the season 2011/12 on the ice. On October 7, 2011 Guenin scored his first NHL goal when he hit the 1:2 connection for the Anaheim Ducks met in the 1:4 loss against the Buffalo Sabres.

In July 2013 Guenin signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche.
