Neißemünde

Neißemünde is a municipality in the southeast of Brandenburg Oder-Spree district. The community belongs to the Office Neuzelle based in Neuzelle.

Geography

When the district Ratzdorf the Neisse flows into the Oder. Both rivers since 1945 here form the border between Germany and Poland.

The community Neißemünde was formed by merger of the current four districts on 31 December 2001.

Traffic

  • In the municipality are located between Neuzelle and Guben the breakpoints Wellmitz and Coschen on the railway line from Frankfurt ( Oder) to Cottbus.
  • The nearest motorway junction is Frankfurt (Oder ) on the Autobahn 12 Frankfurt ( Oder) - Berlin, about 30 km away.
  • Through the municipality runs the main road 112, connects the city with ironworks Guben.
  • In Ratzdorf an investor is for the passenger navigation on the Oder.
