Nové Dvory (Litoměřice District)

Nové Dvory ( German Neuhof ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northwest from Roudnice and belongs to Okres Litoměřice.

Geography

The long road village is located on the right side of Eger along the creek Čepel in a tributary. In the north, the 209 m high hill rises Skala. South of the town, the route crosses the D8/Europastraße Highway 55 to the exit 35 " Doksany ". West of Nové Dvory leads the state road 608 between nad Ohri Budyně and Terezín along.

Neighboring towns are Skala in the north, Rohatce in the northeast, Židovice in the east, in the southeast Chvalín, Dušníky in the south, Hradcany, Hostěnice and Kliment in the southwest and Doksany in the northwest.

History

Nové Dvory built after the destruction of located on the island of St. Kliment city Mury by the Egerhochwasser of 1432 in a safe location before the river as a new settlement for their inhabitants. The first mention was in 1437, when King Sigismund the possession of Hanus and Jindřich Kolowrat confirmed.
