Omišalj

Omišalj [ ɔmiʃaʎ ] ( dt: Moschau, ital: Castelmuschio ) is a small coastal town in the northwest of the island of Krk, Croatia. The population number of the city itself is 1,868 (2011), that of the entire municipal area, which is also the near Njivice ( dt: Sniewitz ) miteinschließt, 2983 ( 2011).

Omišalj is one of the oldest cities of Krk. It was founded by the Romans as Fulfinium in the 3rd century.
