Pak Phayun District

Amphoe Pak Phayun ( Thai: อำเภอ ปากพะยูน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Phatthalung. The Phatthalung Province is located in southern Thailand, about 840 kilometers south of Bangkok on the Malay Peninsula.

Geography

Neighboring districts and areas (from west clockwise): Amphoe Pa the Bon and Bang Kaeo in Phatthalung Province and Amphoe Krasae Sin, Sathing Phra Singhanakhon Khuan Niang and in the province of Songkhla.

To the east of the circle of Lake Thale Luang, which is connected to the south of the district by a narrow waterway with the rest of the valley is Saps ..

History

Amphoe Pak Phayun was established in 1896 in the wake of Thesaphiban Management Reform of King Chulalongkorn ( Rama V ). It originally consisted of 17 Tambon.

Management

Amphoe Pak Phayun is divided into seven subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 63 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Pak Phayun ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปากพะยูน ), consisting of parts of the tambon Pak Phayun,
  • Ao Phayun ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล อ่าว พะยูน ), consisting of the other parts of the tambon Pak Phayun
  • Han Thao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หาร เทา ), consisting of the entire Tambon Han Thao
  • Ko Nang Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เกาะ นาง คำ ), consisting of the whole tambon Ko Nang Kham
  • Don Sai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน ทราย ), consisting of the whole tambon Don Sai.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
