Pa Bon District

Amphoe Pa Bon ( Thai: อำเภอ ป่า บอน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Phatthalung. The Phatthalung Province is located in the southern region of Thailand, about 840 kilometers south of Bangkok on the Malay Peninsula.

Geography

Neighboring districts and areas (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Tamot, Bang Kaeo and Pak Phayun in Phatthalung Province, Amphoe Rattaphum in the province of Songkhla and Amphoe Khuan Kalong of Satun Province and Amphoe Palian Trang province.

History

Pa Bon was on 1 May 1983, first as sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Pa Bon, and Nong Thong Khok Sai vrom Amphoe Pak Phayun were separated. On May 21, 1990 Pa Bon has been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Pa Bon is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 48 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Pa Bon ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ป่า บอน ) is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Pa Bon, Nong Thong and Wang May

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
