Sathing Phra District
Sathing Phra ( Thai: สทิงพระ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Songkhla. The Songkhla province in Southern Thailand is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts and territories ( from the south clockwise): Amphoe Singhanakhon in the province of Songkhla, Amphoe Pak Phayun in Phatthalung Province and Amphoe Krasae Sin and Ranot again in Songkhla. To the east is the Gulf of Thailand.
The western part of the district is the shore of the Thale Luang, the northern part of the Songkhla Lake.
Attractions
- In the district of Phra Sathing there are two beaches worth seeing: Maharat Beach ( Thai: หาด มหาราช ) - 2 km northeast of the county town in Tambon Phra Chat Hing, fine sand and calm, Scotch Pine.
- Sathing Phra Beach ( Thai: หาด สทิงพระ ) - in Tambon Kradang -nga.
History
The original name of the district was chatting Hing Phra, but was renamed in 1961 in Sathing Phra.
Management
Amphoe Phra Sathing is divided into eleven subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 79 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
Sathing Phra ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สทิงพระ ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Chat Hing Phra.
In addition, there are eleven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
