Plantation Iceland is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Collier County in the U.S. state of Florida with 163 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Geography

Plantation Iceland is bordered to the east on the town of Everglades, located on the Gulf of Mexico and about 60 miles from Naples city.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 163 inhabitants distributed in 150 households. The population density was 108.7 inh. / Km ². 98.2 % of the population were white, 1.2% African American and 0.6 % Native American. 3.1% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 35.4 % of all households lived in 14.6 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 59.8 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 1.99 persons and the average family size is 2.33 people.

14.8% of the population were younger than 20 years, 9.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 34.9 % were 40-59 years old and 41.1 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 56 years. 55.2 % of the population were male and 44.8 % female.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 97.99 % of the population spoke Spanish and 2.01%.
