Podhale Nowy Targ

Podhale Nowy Targ (official club Sportowy Podhale Nowy Targ ) is a Polish ice hockey club from Nowy Targ. The association founded in 1932 with 19 championships gained the most successful club of Poland and Polish record holder.

History

Podhale Nowy Targ was founded in 1932. After they could not win a title in their first three decades dominated the team since the mid-1960s the Polish ice hockey and won the national championship, making it the country's overall record champions 19 times. In addition, she won the Polish Cup competition in each of the years 2004 and 2005. At European level, Nowy Targ represented multiple times, the Polish national colors in the IIHF Continental Cup. In their only participation in the cross-national inter- league they won this in the season 2003/04. In the season 2011/ 12 was in the Podhale Last round game mode and then also lost the decisive play -down game against KS Toruń and thus dismounted from the Playoff Final. 2013 managed to rise again in the Playoff Final. On 2 December 2013 the Licensing Committee of the Polish Ice Hockey Federation initiated proceedings against the club one, with the aim of license withdrawal, since payments to the association had not been done.
