Punta Gorda (Montevideo)

Punta Gorda is a neighborhood ( barrio ) of the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo.

Location

The lying on the coast of the Río de la Plata district serves as a residential area. It is located a few kilometers east of the city center between the districts Malvín and Carrasco. While predominantly Calle Alberto to field forms the dividing line to the first named, the Avenida Punta Gorda borders Bolivia to the east of Carrasco and Carrasco Norte.

Currently, here are 14,519 inhabitants recorded (as of 2005).

Description and infrastructure

At Punta Gorda there are about the listed building, Plaza de la Armada (Plaza Virgilio ) and Andrada Casa Torres. In addition, the Parque Eugenio Baroffio and the beaches of Playa de los Ingleses, Playa Verde and Playa Carlos Gardel located there.
