Quirnbach, Westerwaldkreis

Quirnbach ( dialect: cross- mixing ) is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of seltzer (Westerwald ).

Geographical location

Quirnbach lies in three km southeast of seltzer at the Little Saynbach the middle of a forest and meadow land.

History

In 1462 Quirnbach was first mentioned in records. The spelling of the name changed over the centuries from Quirenbach after Querbach to Quirnbach.

Parish council

The local council in Quirnbach consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
