Sessenhausen
Sessenhausen ( dialect: Sessehouse ) is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of seltzer (Westerwald ).
Geographical location
The rural municipality Sessenhausen located four kilometers west of soda and six kilometers east of Dierdorf, just off the A3 between Frankfurt and Cologne.
History
The place was first mentioned in 1227 as Sasinhusin, 1758 Sass Husen, later as Sachsenhausen and as Sassenhausen.
Parish council
The local council in Sessenhausen consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Traffic
- North of the village, the B 413 runs leading from Bendorf to Hachenburg.
- The nearest motorway junction is Dierdorf on the A 3
- Nearest ICE train station is Montabaur at the high-speed line Cologne-Rhine/Main.
Church festival ( fair )
Every year instead of the traditional Sessenhäuser Kirmes on July 3 weekend. This Verstanstaltung Sessenhausen made in recent years in the Westerwald and known beyond. Alone on Friday evening flock each year over 1,000 visitors to the festival grounds around the Church of St. Joseph. It is organized by the six local associations and the fair youth. Traditions such as the tree locations, the celebration service and a program for all generations to make them one of the last of its kind in the county.
Others
The town coat of arms shows a so-called " Kitzjesträger ". The large basket is thus referred to as fawn ( Kiepe ). Today's fair youth describe themselves as well as Kitzjesträger Sessenhausen.
