Radek Dvořák

Radek Dvorak ( born March 9, 1977 in Tábor ) is a Czech ice hockey player who is since September 2013 in the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Radek Dvořák began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the HC České Budějovice, for the first team, he was active in the Czech Extraliga 1993-1995. He was then in the first round selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1995 as a whole tenth player from the Florida Panthers, for in the National Hockey League he was on the ice, the following four and a half years. On 30 December 1999, he submitted to the New York Rangers, for whom he ran aground further three and a half seasons long in the NHL. Then the attacker played to 'Lock' in the NHL 2004/05 season for the Edmonton Oilers. The time during the lockout even bridged the right shooter in his Czech homeland, where he was obliged by HC České Budějovice. The club with which Dvořák had begun his career and was now relegated to the second class 1st League, he served as second division champions back in the Extraliga.

Following the resumption of gaming operations in the NHL Dvořák first returned to the Edmonton Oilers, before he became a free agent a contract with their league rivals, the St. Louis Blues, received on 14 September 2006. Before the match, 2007 /08, the Czech finally returned to his former club Florida Panthers. End of February 2011, he was discharged in a transfer business to the Atlanta Thrashers.

On 1 July 2011, he signed a contract for one year with the Dallas Stars. End of January 2013 he was engaged by the HC Davos of the Swiss National League A. After leaving the NLA Playoffs with the HC Davos he signed in March 2013 a contract until the end of the season with the Anaheim Ducks. After only half a year in Anaheim, he moved in September 2013 to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Internationally

For Dvořák Czech Republic took part in the World Championships in 1999, 2001, 2004 and 2005. In addition, he was in the squad of the Czech Republic at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and the World Cup of Hockey 2004.
