Rene Röthke

René Roethke ( born July 27, 1982 in Berlin ) is a German professional ice hockey player who plays for the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the 2009/10 season.

Career

From the offspring of the EC Berlin Capitals arise, where he was first deployed in the season 1999/ 00 in addition to the Junior League team at the senior team of the club, the attacker played in the 2000 /01 season in the Oberliga Nord for the polar bears Juniors Berlin and had also an insert with a DEL - mining license for the Berlin Capitals. In the summer of 2001, the right-handed shooter moved to Augsburg, where he came again with a DEL - mining license for the Augsburger Panther in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga and for the Regional Team of the Augsburg EV used. In the summer of 2002 Roethke moved back to Berlin at the polar bears, where he again came up with a DEL - mining license in the 2nd Bundesliga for the ETC Crimmitschau in the season 2002/ 03 are used.

For 2003/ 04, the striker moved to Hamburg, where he went for the Hamburg Freezers on the ice. In summer 2004, René Roethke signed a contract with the Hannover Scorpions, of which he has been endowed with a production license for REV Bremerhaven. On 2 November 2006, the attacker was first appointed to the German national team. After his contract was not renewed in Hannover, Berlin moved to league rivals ERC Ingolstadt, where he first received a one-year contract. Since the season 2009/10 the striker for the Straubing Tigers also play in the DEL and occurs with the shirt number 91. Roethke played 2009/10 his best measured at points scorer in the DEL season, his contract was extended after the season by one year. The Treaty of René Roethke at the Straubing Tigers was officially renewed on 8 December 2011 for a further 2 years until 2014.
