Carsen Germyn

Carsen Germyn ( born February 22, 1982 in Campbell River, British Columbia ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is at the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract. He currently plays on loan with the AIK Hockey Svenska ligands.

Career

Carsen Germyn played from 1998 to 2003 five years in the Western Hockey League. First, he was active for the Kelowna Rockets during the season 2001/ 02 changed the striker to the Red Deer Rebels. With the Rebels, he reached in each case the play- off final in 2002 and 2003. For the 2003/ 04 season Germyn has been contracted by the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League. In July 2004, the Calgary Flames took from the National Hockey League the winger under contract. The 2004/05 season with the Lowell Lock spent Germyn Monsters, which acted as a farm team of the Flames this season. The following two seasons he was in the squad of the Omaha Ak -Sar - Ben Knights, also completed the right shooter 2005/ 06 and 2006/ 07 two games for the Calgary Flames in the NHL.

The franchise of the Omaha Ak -Sar - Ben Knights existed only from 2005 to 2007, Germyn played both years there and scored the most goals, assists and points scorer in the short history of the Knights. The winger was followed by the relocation of the franchise to the Quad City Flames, who played as before, the Knights in the AHL. At Quad City Germyn played from 2007 to 2009 two years for the franchise moved again and was renamed in Abbotsford Heat. In the two-year history of Quad City is Germyn overall leader in the template and points scorer statistics. In the 2009/10 season, the Canadian was active for the Abbotsford Heat, before he moved to the Swiss National League B for EHC Olten. Germyn reached in the 2010/11 season 51 points in 46 games this season. In June 2011, the striker moved to the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, the existing contract with the EHC Olten was dissolved. In order to save salary costs lent him the DEL club shortly before the end of the season 2013/14 at the AIK from, where he will play in the Svenska Hockey ligands.
