Geographical Location

Reut in the region Landshut amidst typical Lower Bavarian hills just 9 km north of Simbach or 10 miles from Braunau, 15 km south of the district town parish churches, 20 km southeast of Eggenfelden and 25 km northeast of Burghausen. History

Reut belonged to Rentamt Burghausen and the district court Julbach of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818 the municipality Reut.

On January 1, 1904 Reut Municipality was re- formed as a spin- out of the church Eggstetten. The church today is the result of merging the small communities Taubenbach, Reut and boundary Ling in the course of municipal reform in Bavaria, which entered into force on 1 April 1971. This administrative matters with the community Tann was formed simultaneously. The largest towns in the rural community are Taubenbach, Reut and Noppling.
