Rückersdorf, Brandenburg

Rücker village is a municipality in the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg and is part of the Office Elsterland based in the municipality of Schönborn.

Geography

The place amidst the nature park Niederlausitzer heathland, which is located in the westernmost part of Lower Lusatia, is located about 100 km south of Berlin, 70 km west of Cottbus, 70 km north of Dresden and 100 km east of Leipzig.

Neighboring communities

Rücker village borders the communes of Schönborn, Doberlug- Kirchhain, heathland, Gorden - Staupitz and bathroom Liebenswerda.

Community structure

The community Rücker village exists since the municipal reform in 2001 from the three districts Friedersdorf, Oppelhain and Rücker village.

Composed has the community Rückersdorf from the communities Oppelhain and Rücker village. Friedersdorf was up to the community a combination of dependent district of Rückersdorf. With the merger, each district has gotten a mayor.

In addition to the three districts there are the settlements Oppelhain forest settlement, pit Erna and Täubertsmühle.

History

Rücker village was first mentioned in 1234 and was therefore one of the first possessions of the monastery Dobrilugk.

Incorporations

In GDR times, consisted of the community association Rückersdorf- Oppelhain. He was the first of its kind in the district of Cottbus and was dissolved with the reunification of Germany. The municipal federation included the locations:

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

In Rückersdorf is the current station Rücker village, which was opened in 1897 as a breakpoint Rückersdorf- Oppelhain at the Berlin- Dresden railway. Later the tracks 3 and 4 and sidings were added to the Holzausformungswerk, sawmill and concrete. In addition to the Rückersdorf station there was the block location Rücker village that was located in pit Erna, as well as the two Rückersdorf station belonging barriers items. There was a siding of Rückersdorfer coal mines. Direct to the railway station and the signal box B1. Furthermore, disposal of Rücker village railway station via a freight office and a head side ramp.
