Savinsky, Arkhangelsk Oblast
Sawinski (Russian Савинский ) is an urban-type settlement in North West Russia. It belongs to the Arkhangelsk Oblast and has 7661 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).
Geography
Sawinski is located about 180 km south of Arkhangelsk Oblasthauptstadt. It is located in Plesetsk Raion and is located approximately 26 km from the center Plesetsk away. The settlement lies on the River Jemza, a tributary of the Northern Dvina
History
In 1961 Sawinski received the status of an urban settlement.

Sawinski is located about ten kilometers from the railway station Scheleksa, which is a station of the Northern Railway on the route Konosha - Plesetsk, Arkhangelsk.
In Sawinski are among other companies in the cement, slate and steel production, as well as a forestry operation.
