Coat of arms

Blazon: Shared by red and gold; above a sechsspeichiges Silver Wheel, down from a green Dreienberg growing three black mace, so-called morning star.

Coat of Arms History: After the extinction of the Counts of Rieneck 1559 Schöllkrippen came to the Archbishopric of Mainz, where it remained from 1670 to 1803. Even before 1670, the bishops of Mainz had large parts of the area around Schöllkrippen. At the Mainz rule the six-spoked wheel reminds silver in the red box. The colors are those of the Archbishopric of Mainz. The three morning stars in the lower part of coat of arms are taken from a picture Seal of the Office Schöllkrippen. The inscription reads SIG. AMPT SCHÖLL CRIB. Here, although the name Schöllkrippen is called, but it certainly was not a congregational seal. Probably it is the personal coat of arms of a resident in Schöllkrippen officials. The coat of arms on both sides accompanying the letters M and W reinforce this assumption. An official person with that name letters is not known at this time. Since this is a rare coat of arms figure, she was chosen for the new coat of arms.

The coat of arms was designed in the period around 1950 and has been operational since 1954.
