Geography
Neighboring communities
Schoeneck is bordered to the north by the city Niddatal ( Wetterau ), in the north- east on the town Nidderau, on the east by the city Bruchkoebel, on the southeast by the town of Hanau, in the south on the town Main Valley and in the west on the community of Niederdorfelden and the city Karben ( Wetterau ).

Schoeneck is divided into the districts Büdesheim, Kilianstädten and Oberdorfelden.
History
Incorporations
The resulting from the previously independent localities Büdesheim, Kilianstädten and Oberdorfelden total community Schoeneck there is only since 31 December 1970. Prior to creating the overall community Schoeneck Büdesheim belonged to the district of Friedberg.

Infrastructure
All three districts Schöneck a direct train connection to Bad Vilbel and Frankfurt / Main and in the opposite direction to the Stock Home ( Glauburg ). As of 2008, the number of trains on the Niddertalbahn was expanded and included the operation at the weekend.
In 2008, the district Kilianstädten received a bypass to reduce the intra- local through traffic.
September 2009 Construction of a wind farm (7 wind turbines with total approx. 37 million kWh ( = 37 GWh) per annum ) on the southern periphery of the district Kilianstädten. 2013 extension by another two wind turbines.
Policy
Schoeneck has in 2012 decided to participate in the municipal shield for partial debt of indebted municipalities.

Büdesheim and Kilianstädten have its own primary school, for elementary school students from Oberdorfelden the primary school in the neighboring village Niederdorfelden is responsible.
For Schoeneck competent secondary schools are located in Nidderau, Hanau, Bad Vilbel and the Main - bishop 's home.
Kindergartens

In Büdesheim there is the nursery and daycare dandelion and the daycare sun shaft.
