Seal of the Marshall Islands

The Seal of the Marshall Islands has a blue background, which is supposed to represent the sea.

Description

On the blue base is a stylized " spirit of peace ".

Behind two islands are shown with a canoe and a palm tree. Further, the seal still shows an old tool and a fishing net.

Top left and right of the shield is a white-red stripes, which are also found in the flag of the Marshall Islands, respectively. The white band represents the Ratak ( sunrise ), while the orange ribbon symbolizes the Ralik (sunset).

The star symbolizes the Christian crucifix. The 24 rays represent the 24 administrative districts of the Marshall Islands, the four large beams for the four districts: Majuro, Ebeye, Jaluit and Wotje.

Below the shield is a traditional bar card.
