Coat of arms of Nauru

The design of the coat of arms of Nauru is from the year 1968, after the Declaration of Independence; officially began to use it in the early 1970s.

Description

The shield is divided and split below.

  • Top in gold on the silver woven base chemical symbol for phosphorus.
  • In the lower heraldic right ( from the viewer's left ) silver box sitting on a red crutch black frigate bird over five blue ocean waves.
