Seal of American Samoa

The Seal of American Samoa, a U.S. foreign territory in the southern Pacific Ocean, has a round shield and shows in black and white characters Samoan mythology and culture. Strikingly, the two crossed objects, which represent the wisdom and the ceremonial bar the state dignity. In the center a kava bowl, reminiscent of the shape of a Polynesian round hut.

The motto " SAMOA Muamua LE ATUA " means loosely translated at the bottom of the seal " Samoa, God would be the first ". At the top of " SEAL OF AMERICAN SAMOA is * 17 April 1900 ". The black font on white and both signature fields on the edge are connected by an engraving from a larger number of small triangles.
