Seal of Kansas

The flag of the U.S. state of Kansas was officially adopted on 25 May 1861.

Description

At the top of the seal is the Latin motto of the State:

On the seal itself the following is shown:

• A landscape with rising sun ( the East)
• A log cabin and a man in the field order ( Agriculture)
• Covered wagons on their way west ( pioneers )
• Indians on a buffalo hunt
• 34 stars as indication that Kansas joined as a 34 State the United States
